“I don’t like school and anyway, I’ll never make it!” Children with learning disorders need special care and attention. Coming alongside students and motivating them to learn is the passion of a teacher in Spain…
Grain of Wheat Spain, recently began a project called Motivate to Study. The aim is to help high-risk children with learning disorders from ages 6 to 14. Meetings are held three evenings each week for 16 children. They are then divided into groups designed to meet their specific educational needs. Not only are the children motivated to study, but they develop meaningful relationships with their tutors.
One of the keys to the success of Motivate to Study is the compassion and kindness of the teacher who not only coordinates the project, but also builds a supportive relationship with the children and their families.
What an inspiration to see struggling children gain confidence in their studies and grow in self-esteem. Not only that, but Motivate to Study has opened doors to reach these families with the Good News of Jesus through kids clubs and support meetings for parents.
