Kids all around the world have one thing in common, each one has a strong desire to be loved. Early in life, they often learn that love isn’t freely given by those closest to them, it’s something they must earn.
That’s why at Grain of Wheat we spend quality time interacting and listening to children who come to our camps and clubs. Most of these kids are non-Christians and need special attention to understand God’s love. Others simply need to hear God’s message shared with them by our young volunteers.
One of these campers, a young Gypsy girl, has been coming to camp for three years. Through the care of our leaders and the clear message of God’s unconditional love for her, she opened her heart to Jesus.
JOY overflowed in the hearts of every camp leader when she asked to be baptized. After the service, a young boy her age exclaimed “We welcome you into God’s family!”
The camp program ended with an ice cream party. A young boy spilling over with JOY, jumped on the pastor with a huge hug and burst out “I have never felt so loved!”
Our ways of sharing the Gospel may vary, but the unlimited love of God personally calls the children one by one.
To share the dynamic impact of God’s love through camps and clubs in Hungary with partners like you is one of our greatest JOYS.
