Lal Din Mawaii is 12 years old and lives in a very remote area of Chin State, nearby the Indian boarder. She is the middle child of five siblings. Her parents are farmers and life is tough for them as every 5 years they have to move to another area for better cultivation.
The children are not doing well in school as they did not attend school regularly due to the move and the hardworking of their parents. Eventually, they moved to Tio village where Grain of Wheat Myanmar is having regular kid’s clubs and several children ministry events. When they first arrived, Lal Din Mawii started spending time with children who had a very bad influence on her. She started rebelling towards her parents. She and her friends were spending most of their time watching bad movies on Youtube and she completely neglected her studies.
But one day, she accompanied one of her neighbors to attend GW kid’s club in their village. She had no interest in the teachings but continued to come as she loves singing and dancing. Little by little, as she was hearing Bible stories, she realized how much Jesus loves her and understood that He was offering her His forgiveness for her sinful attitude. As she prayed, she experimented God’s answers.
Two years later, she can now testify “If I had not accepted God’s invitation, I would have entered in a very dangerous circle and I do not know where I would be now… Every day I can experience God’s blessings towards my family. My vision is to contribute to expend kid’s clubs in our Chin Hill area so that many children can meet God and have a better life like it happened to me”!
